Pre-placement Training and Workshops


Employability of students is determined not just by their industry-related knowledge, but by their ability to navigate the world of work. The Placement Cell frequently organizes trainings and workshops that are geared to equip students with professional skills and life skills. These help them face challenging professional and personal situations with ease and confidence.

To enhance the capability of the student to get placed during campus placement drive and also while attending interviews on their own, the Placement Cell conducts pre placements sessions on soft skills for the benefit of students. The students are prepared for their final placement through an incessant and structured interface with the industry through vigorous internships, guest talks and industrial visits, industry ready course curriculum and Pre-placement training sessions (PPTs).

These initiatives seek to build confidence and self-esteem among students, and are customized to meet the needs of different professional environments. 

The training deals with topics like:

  • Group Discussion
  • Professional Etiquette
  • Grooming Etiquette
  • Resume Writing
  • Interview Skills
  • Ways to handle Questions

The sessions are designed to be interactive and engaging, and students are encouraged to resolve their doubts and questions with the trainers. Mock interviews and group discussions are also conducted to familiarize students with the different processes related to each. Students receive feedback from subject matter experts and are thus able to better prepare themselves for the placement interviews.

Workshops and Seminars

In addition to these Pre Placement sessions, the Placement Cell also organizes workshops and seminars that cover a host of topics including opportunities for higher studies, preparation for competitive exams, internship opportunities, building entrepreneurial skills etc. Often, these sessions are conducted in collaboration with industry speakers and subject matter experts.
